Outlook Web Access (OWA)Organizations running Microsoft Exchange provide remote access to e-mail in several ways, but the most popular method is by deploying Microsoft’s Outlook Web Access (OWA). OWA provides users access via an Internet web browser to the e-mails, calendars, contacts, tasks and other mailbox contents that are stored in their Exchange mailboxes. The OWA Report Pack offers a dozen reports to help administrators further understand how their Outlook Web Access environment is being used. The OWA Report Pack can gather information and report on OWA servers and user. The predefined reports can be modified and saved for future use, or custom reports can be created using OWA report parts via the MessageStats custom reports wizard. The Outlook Web Access reports cover three core areas: Logons reports which provide information about the quantity and success rate for OWA logons at the organizational level, as well as one or more specific servers. These reports can help you determine the peak times for OWA activity to help improve OWA service and determine out-of-service periods, Denial of Service (DoS) attacks, or even attempts to guess a password. Usage reports provide information about the distribution of OWA logons by account, mailbox, server, site/administrative group, routing group, department, virtual directory/web site and internet browser and version. OWA Server Uptime report identifies which OWA servers and associated services were available and running on the network for a full day, and also identifies the ones that were not available. This report is identical to the Uptime Report of the core MessageStats product.
